SSF cultivation of pure mycelium mats

Initial investigations by partner KADK, at the Chair for Biohybrid Architecture, CITA, exploring the impact of cultivation parameters on the production, properties and morphogenesis of pure mycelium mats through solid-state fermentation (SSF).

Here, we show results from investigations on the fungal strains G.lucidum and P.ostreatus. Controlled cultivation parameters include temperature, relative humidity, CO2 level, substrate composition and additional supplements.
